More than one in five people who buy an Apple iPhone in the UK go on to regret the purchase, according to a new poll
The poll was conducted by mobile deal site goodmobilephones.co.uk, who asked 1,694 British adults if they were happy with their handsets. As it turns out, 22% of those polled with iPhones said that they weren't.The disaffected Apple users cited poor battery life and better smartphone alternatives as reasons for regretting their purchases - both valid positions to hold given the slew of recent top-end handsets (including the Nokia Lumia 800, HTC Sensation XE and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S), and the recent hand-wringing over iOS 5's effect on battery life.
Furthermore, with the release of the iPhone 4S Apple are ignoring the current trend for mobiles with larger and larger screens. While some might argue that it's a trend that's gone too far with massive mobiles like the Samsung Galaxy Note, with the standard size of screen on high-end Android phones now resting at a little over four inches, Apple's 3.5-inch iPhone displays are starting to look comparatively titchy, especially as more and more people turn to smartphones for gaming and watching video.
