HTC officially announces its latest Gingerbread-powered smartphone for Verizon. The HTC Rezound may not be as thin as the super-slim phones of late, but its specs make up for its slight bulkiness. The device is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded by another 16GB thanks to its microSD card slot.
On the external front, the HTC Rezound sports a 4.3-inch display with 720p resolution, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and an 8-megapixel camera at the back with f/2.2 lens and dual-LED flash. The camera is capable of shooting video in 1080p, as well as panorama and action burst modes. You may also notice the Beats logo at the back, so expect a richer sound quality with its special in-phone audio profile and a pair of included Beats earbuds.
The HTC Rezound is a Verizon LTE device, which performs greatly within the carrier’s 4G coverage areas. Although it runs Android Gingerbread, HTC and Verizon are planning to bring Ice Cream Sandwich updates early next year. The phone will be available on Verizon Wireless and Best Buy beginning November 14, costing $299.
