Nokia Tablet running Windows 8 due 2012?

One thing you don't want to do as the division manager of a company like Nokia is reveal top secret plans, luckily Paul Amsellem didn't get that memo

Paul Amsellem, head of Nokia France has let slip that Nokia plans to release a Windows 8 tablet next year which will rival Apple's iPad 2 or even the Apple iPad 3 if indeed it has been released by that point.

The Division Manager was speaking to French publication Les Echos when he made the slip about Nokia's future plans talking not only about the tablet but also where the Nokia Lumia 800 will sit in the Windows Phone 7 product range: It's a bit like the equivalent of the BMW 5 Series. We will soon have a full range with a Series 7 and Series 3, and in June 2012, we will have a tablet running Windows 8"

This startlingly candid revelation not only confirms that there will be a Nokia tablet running Windows 8 but also adds to the rumours that the Lumia 800 is not in fact the flagship Windows Phone 7 handset of Nokia but that there will be a even higher-specification handset appearing, possibly in the guise of the Nokia Ace or Nokia Lumia 900.
