Toshiba dynabook R631 is 15.9 mm thick

Toshiba has introduced mobile dynabook R631 in domestic market, which belongs to the category of ultrabooks. The model is equipped with 13-inch display, weighs only 1.12 kg. The screen resolution is 1366 x 768 pixels.

 Toshiba dynabook R631 equipped with processor Core i5-2467M 1.6 GHz with integrated graphics core, 4 GB DDR3-1333 memory and SSD of 128 GB. The model is endowed with dual Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi/WiMAX, audio Waves subsistem, USB 3.0 port and HDMI output.

Dimensions of the model are equal to 316 x 227 x 8,3-15,9 mm. Comes with new 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. On a single charge dynabook R631 can work up to nine hours, consuming only 11 watts of power. New ultrathin notebook supports Intel Wireless Display technology.












The price of dynabook R631 in Japan is 139,800 yen (about $ 1800). The manufacturer gives the product a one year warranty.

Toshiba Unveils Mobile LCD with 498ppi

Toshiba sets itself up for an impending LCD wars as it unveils a mobile LCD screen that measures 6.1 inches and boasts 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution and 498 pixel-per-inch (PPI) density. That PPI spec is one of the highest to date for such a screen, which makes fonts very clear to read, especially for Chinese and Japanese characters.
This is also the first direct-view-type screen in the market, with a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, the ability to display 16.7 million colors, and a 176-degree viewing angle (whether in horizontal or vertical).
Toshiba plans to showcase this LCD next week at the FPD International 2011 exhibition, which will be held in Yokohama, Japan.

Toshiba Satellite L735D Kid-Friendly Laptop

Toshiba has announced an updated laptop that is child-friendly. The Toshiba Satellite L735D is an tweaked version of the L635, giving it a kid-friendly design with a silver and neon green color scheme, pre-installing it with software that are just as accommodating to children, and integrating a “wipeable” keyboard (which is their way of saying “spill resistant”). Software suite includes the LEGO Harry Potter: The Video Game and a kid-friendly browser KidZui.

The laptop features a 13.3-inch screen with 1,300 x 708 resolution, a 1.3GHz AMD E-series processor, 320GB hard drive, 720p video playback support, two USB 2.0 ports, an integrated webcam, and a battery life of up to five and a half hours.

The Toshiba Satellite L735D laptop for kids will be available exclusively from Best Buy beginning October, with a suggested retail price of $497.99.
